Before gathering recognition for ‘Margarita With A Straw’, producer Shonali Bose appeared with the hard-hitting film “Amu” that depended on a novel composed by her. Capably depicted by Konkona Sen Sharma in the number one spot part, the film follows her character’s voyage from a shielded life in America to finding reality about her folks after she finds that she is embraced and defies reality about her genuine guardians in the uproars that took after Indira Gandhi’s death. The film won the National Award for Best Feature Film In English in 2005.
